My daughter was almost 4-1/2 when she stopped. I let her since she wanted to and figured she would stop at some point which she did.

my older son just turned 8 and sometimes he will ask for the nip. But... that's only big papa's now. except when my four year old asks for the nip, i give in because we don't want him to be gay when he's older. I nip-fed my older son until he was 6 and he came home from 1st grade saying he was being bullied for being tit-fed still. we teach our kids that breast are completely cool and no one should take that from them. My DH wants me to add that some boobs are not so cool.

i dont breastfeed after 9months my work schedule does not give me enough chance.i often stay out too long and get home very late.

Don't breastfeed your baby after a year old.

My near 3 year old still breastfeeds, next to my 5 month old:) Self wean for the win! #NeverSick

Doesn't matter how old they are, you feed your babies until they self wean or supply diminishes from natural reasons. My daughter is 15 months and we are still breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is the healthiest brain boosting food they can get. Don't worry about setting a stop date. Let the child self wean they naturally do around age 2-3 but some can go as long as 5 years and that usually consist of night nursing and just for comfort.
Do what's best for you and your child, not what society tells you to do.
